Good morning, Marcia

Good to plant now

Tap around. This preview uses sample data.

Ask it the way you'd ask a neighbour.

Answers come from guidance by RADA, MICAF, CARDI and the Met Service, checked by our team before the assistant uses it.

  • “Wah mi fi plant dis month?”

In St. Elizabeth, callaloo and tomato are good to plant now, and October is the last good month for scotch bonnet and sweet potato. Plant after the next good shower and mulch to hold the moisture.

Asked out loud. The answer is read back, so you can keep working.

  • “Should I spray tomorrow?”

Hold off. Heavy rain is forecast for tomorrow afternoon in Manchester and would wash it off. Clear your drains today instead.

Uses the forecast for your parish, updated through the day.

  • “Mi tomato leaf dem a turn yellow wid spot.”

Pick off the spotted leaves and water at the base, not over the plant. For any spray, ask RADA or the Pesticides Control Authority first.

Every answer shows where it came from. It never gives chemical doses.

  • “Can I grow dragon fruit in Hanover?”

The assistant didn't have checked guidance on this, so it sent the question to an extension officer. Their answer arrives right in the chat.

Is it free?
Yes. YardFarm is free for farmers. Sign in with your email — no password to remember.
Do I need internet?
Only to ask something new. Your home screen, crop calendar and last weather update open without signal, and questions you type offline send when you reconnect.
Where do the answers come from?
Only from YardFarm's farming guidance, checked by our team. Every answer shows its sources, and anything not yet checked is marked. If it doesn't know, an extension officer can answer.
Can it tell me what chemical to spray?
No. For your safety, YardFarm never gives pesticide brands or mixing rates. It gives safe first steps and points you to RADA or the Pesticides Control Authority.
Do I need to download it from an app store?
No. Open YardFarm in your phone's browser and tap “Install” or “Add to Home Screen”. It works like an app and takes very little space.
